Whilst I may not be a sexy Borg chick I did finish in a respectable place for the “Unofficial” UK nationals.

My overall standing after the 8 rounds of Swiss was 9th (1 off - so close) but due to some people in the top eight dropping I was bumped through to the single elimination stage and although I won my first game the second two were lost and I was knocked out leaving me 7th in the overall standings. So no Hulk trophy for Dave but I do have an invite to worlds.

I have taken some notes about my games and I’ve also got footage of my exclusive interview with Mr Steve “The Kamiza” Garret. Write ups and videos(you tube willing) should be up later in the week. 

I also like to congratulate Nick (from team HoH) on his amazing performance yesterday. A slight play error in the last round of Swiss left him at 5-3 for the day and he really deserved the 6-2 he could have had. As a wise man once said:

“Doom = Win
but
Nick + monkeys = FTW

its hard to argue with the math there”.

Perhaps I should have gone with the Gorilla after all…
